Do you want to help shape the future of youth in Tippecanoe County? We have multiple ways you can donate your time and talents:
After checking out the options below, click here to join Team Jessie!
In just 1-3 hours a week, you can make a dramatic impact on the life of a youth in the juvenile justice system. We partner with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Lafayette to provide mentor opportunities to any youth who is interested. Download the mentor application here.
Host Job Shadowing
Many of the youth we work with are looking to gain relevant job experience or learn more about future career options. If you are willing to host a youth at your place of business, let us know here. We will contact you to discuss the specifics.
Jessie's Kids strives to meet the individual needs of any youth involved with the juvenile justice system. This can vary from something as small as the need for art supplies (less than $20) to more substantial items like bicycles (to ride to work or pro-social activities), musical instruments, and school book fees. The board is continually seeking cash donations in order to cover these costs as requests are made. Any money raised for Jessie's Kids is greatly appreciated and will be put to good use! We can help you promote and staff events.
Become a Youth Development Worker or Intern
Programs at Cary Home need positive adults to staff them. Check out the Tippecanoe County job board for employment opportunities in the programs supported by Jessie's Kids. If you are interested in interning, let us know here. Interns must be enrolled in a college course that oversees the internship. You must be 21 years old with a valid driver's license to be considered for employment or an internship.
